Boston cops surprise man turning 25 with muffin, sing ‘Happy Birthday’ after he calls 911: video

A pair of Boston cops fulfilled a local residents birthday wish when they showed up to his home with a celebratory muffin and line of candles to blow out shortly after midnight on Thursday.

The man, who was turning 25, called authorities and said, I want someone to say happy birthday to me, according to the police department.

Officer Israel Bracho and his partner Franklin Ortiz originally were under the impression the call was a joke, but after verifying it really was the young mans special day, they jumped into action, WHDH reported.

Everyone has one birthday, so everyone deserves to feel special on that one day, Bracho told the outlet. 3 The Boston Police Department responded to a call from a man asking them to sing happy birthday to him. Boston Police Department

How old are you, Chris asked, to which the officer replied, Oh, were old men, were about 40.

As the officer began to serenade Chris with the “Happy Birthday” song, he broke out in an ear-to-ear grin.
