Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing: Winsome Earle-Sears Drops Fire Ad Showing No Daylight Between Spanberger, AOC

Republican Virginia gubernatorial candidate Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears dropped a fire ad against her opponent, Abigail Spanberger, proving the Democrat is nothing more than a radical sheep like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in a moderate’s wolf’s clothing.

In the post on Tuesday on X, Earle-Sears wrote, “NEW AD: Abigail Spanberger and AOC… more alike than you think.” 

The post included a clip of the one-minute ad that puts AOC’s comments up against similar ones from Spanberger, showing both support for liberal issues like mass amnesty for illegal aliens, banning private insurance, and violent anti-Israel protests on campus, just to name a few.

The video starts with Spanberger praising AOC:

“Alexandria is a feisty, passionate, and driven member of Congress. We also agree on a lot,” Spanberger said.

Opposes the border wall.

AOC: I think it’s a moral abomination.

Spanberger: A physical wall? No.

For mass amnesty.

AOC: We have an undocumented population. You can fix that by trying to document people.

Spanberger: I certainly want to protect every person who might be interested in arriving in the United States. 

For banning private insurance.

AOC: And that is why I support single-payer Medicare for all.

Spanberger: I think that single-payer is a really great direction to go towards.

For anti-Israel protests.

AOC: Those peaceful student-led protests on campus…

Spanberger: Those who are protesting now and have been for months it is their right…

At the end of the video, Spanberger said, “I consider myself to be a progressive.”

Unclear if the ad will do the trick, as both Earle-Sears and her opponent are looking for ways to close the deal with voters in the waning days of their campaign. Spanberger recently pulled out former President Barack Obama.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump threw his support behind the Republican candidate.

“I think the Republican candidate is very good and I think she should win because the Democrat candidate is a disaster,” Trump said.

“I watched her in the debate and she couldn’t answer the most basic question,” he added.

Earle-Sears thanked the president for his support. 

She wrote in a post on X, “Thank you for your kind words of support, President Trump. And you’re right—Abigail would be a disaster for Virginia.”

Here’s hoping the ad seals the deal, allowing Earle-Sears to pull ahead and win this important victory for Virginians.
