The Biden regime was apparently so panicked about Pete Hegseth becoming Secretary of Defense that it pulled a last-minute stunt to derail him.
On Monday, Hegseth posted on X a screenshot of a letter from Biden’s IRS shortly after his November nomination. The agency informed him and his wife, Jennifer, that they were auditing their federal income tax return.
The IRS claimed without evidence that the Hegseths owed a balance of $33,558.16 and demanded they take action to avoid potential penalties.

Fortunately, the Regime’s stunt failed, and Hegseth was confirmed by the Senate thanks to VP JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote.
One can also be sure that Hegseth was not the only Trump nominee ‘suddenly’ looked at by the corrupt IRS once they realized Trump meant business in tackling the Deep State.
Fortunately, Elon Musk and DOGE have started their efforts to crack down on arguably the most hated agency in the country. Gavin Kliger, a key staffer working with Musk in his efforts to downsize the federal government, entered IRS headquarters last week to begin investigating the IRS’s operations.
There are also reports that DOGE will soon be granted to the IRS’s “highly sensitive taxpayer data system.”
One can only imagine what nasty stuff Kliger and the rest of DOGE will discover. It’s a safe bet that documented political persecution against conservatives like Hegseth will be one of the items.
