REPORT: Homelessness Increased by 30 Percent Last Year in Illegal Immigrant-Friendly Colorado | The Gateway Pundit | by Mike LaChance

Colorado has bent over backwards to be welcoming to illegal border crossers in recent years. In the meantime, and perhaps as a direct result, homelessness went up by 30 percent in the state over the last year.

Perhaps Colorado would be better off if leaders in the state spent more time worrying about the welfare of American citizens, and maybe trying to build more housing.

It’s not like there isn’t any funding. The state has spent millions trying to address this problem and who knows how many tax dollars they have spent on illegal aliens?

FOX 31 in Denver reports:

Report: Homelessness in Colorado increased 30% in 2024

A count of people in homeless shelters, temporary housing or on the streets in Colorado indicates homelessness in the state has increased by 30% in 2024.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development late last month released the findings of the January 2024 point-in-time count, which indicated an 18% increase across the country. HUD officials said the count likely does not reflect the current homelessness situation due to policy and condition changes throughout the year.

The Metro Denver Homelessness Initiative in August had already released the metro Denver findings of the point-in-time count, which indicated a record-high amount of homelessness in the Denver area…

One of the starkest increases was among people in families: a 134% increase from 2023.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in a Monday press release said this jump could reflect the increase in migrants to Denver, high housing costs, the impact of inflation or the emergency voucher disbursal methods.

Why do taxpayers tolerate this?

Will anyone be held accountable?
