The Parkinsons expert who has evaluated President Biden — logging eight different visits to the White House in as many months — is also among his donors, records show.
Dr. Kevin Cannard, a top neurologistat Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC, has made a slew of small donations to the 81-year-old’s campaign that date back to February 2020, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
His contributions, first reported on by the Washington Examiner, total just over $3,300 — with the last check being cut in May, the records show.
Details of Cannard’s donations emerged after the White House admitted Monday that the neurologisthas evaluated Biden, saying it was part of his annual physicals. 3 President Biden delivers remarks during a barbecue with military members and their families at US Independence Day celebrations on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC, on July 4, 2024. That revelation was disclosed in a letter from Bidens personal physician Dr. Kevin OConnor — just hours after press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to explain Cannard’s eight recent visits to the White House.
Dr. Cannard was the neurological specialist that examined President Biden for each of his annual physicals, OConnor said.
President Biden has not seen a neurologist outside of his annual physical.”
O’Conner stressed that Bidens last physical in February revealed no findings that the president had Parkinsons or any other neurological disorders. 3 Dr. Kevin Cannard’s specialty is treating patients with movement disorders like Parkison’s, he has practiced as a general neurologist for six years and has been the neurology consultant to the White House medical unit since 2012. 3 Biden speaks with White House Physician Kevin O’Connor as he arrives back at the White House in Washington, DC, on Aug. 28, 2023. The personal physician added that even though Cannard is a Parkinsons disease expert, he has practiced as a general neurologist for the past six years and has been the neurology consultant to the White House medical unit since 2012.
It comes after visitor logs, which were first reported on by The Post, showed Cannard had the White House residence clinic eight times for early morning visits between July 2023 and March 2024.
The logs show that the specialist met with Megan Nasworthy, who coordinates primary care visits for the president and his family, seven times.
During his other visit, Cannard met with OConnor and a Walter Reed cardiologist, Dr. John Atwood.
