Was there any doubt? Just as water is wet and the sun will rise tomorrow, Melania Trump supports her husband’s run for re-election. Not only is she speaking out in support of his run for president again, but she’s also talking about how much she enjoyed living in the White House and how much she likes Washington, D.C. Hmm.
During Trump’s first run for president in 2015, it was frequently reported that Melania was the one who told him that if he ran for president, he would win. She was his silent but solid cheerleader. Melania isn’t the kind of political wife that acts like her husband’s job is her job – like Jill Biden or Hillary Clinton – so she wasn’t big on getting out on the campaign trail. So, it isn’t surprising that she is only now speaking out in an interview about 2024. Nonetheless, there has been media speculation for weeks that Melania is not happy about Trump running again and that she is angry about his legal difficulties. Fake news. It’s just as fake as the reports that Melania is supposedly looking into divorcing Donald. Please.
“He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength,” Melania Trump told Fox News in an interview published Tuesday.
“My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again,” Melania Trump told Fox News.
Melania Trump told Fox News that if her husband is elected in 2024, she, as first lady, would “prioritize the well-being and development of children as I have always done.”
“My focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow, and thrive,” she said. “If additional problems arise, I will take the time to study them and understand their root causes.”
Root causes? What is that, a swipe at Kamala?
Her remarks followed an event she recently held to mark the fifth anniversary of the creation of her “Be Best’ initiative during her time in the White House. That initiative focuses on America’s children, opioid abuse, and online safety. Most of her work in that initiative was quietly done. When she did hold public events, she was usually mocked and criticized. The double standard for Republican and Democrat first ladies is alive and well. Jill Biden can do no wrong, according to her fans in the media, while Melania could do no right. Even Melania’s impeccable fashion sense was never properly acknowledged. She is a former model and yet she was not featured in any fashion magazine, or women’s magazines in general as first ladies typically are. Jill Biden, who has a lack of fashion sense, to put it gently, has graced the covers and pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Town, and Country magazine, and articles in numerous newspapers and online publications.
She exclusively spoke with Fox News Digital. Her husband hasn’t been a big fan of the cable network since the 2020 election but he has been interviewed by Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson recently. Trump is taking a 2015 approach to the media this time around. He’s doing a town hall event on CNN on Wednesday. I don’t see Melania going outside of FNC, but you never know.
Melania told Pete Hegseth that she “really [likes]” Washington and “enjoyed living in the White House.” Hegseth didn’t ask about her husband’s current legal problems but he did ask about the media’s double standard.
“They’re biased, and they have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious, and I think [the] American people and everyone see it, and I have much more important things to do . . . than being on the cover of Vogue,” Melania said when Hegseth asked about what he described as a “double standard” by Vogue magazine for featuring Vice President Kamala Harris, first lady Jill Biden and former first ladies Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama on the cover, but not Melania.
Good answer. She was a good first lady and we could use her quiet dignity again if she ends up in the White House for a second term with her husband.
