The January 6 Committee has announced it is referring criminal charges to the Department of Justice for possible prosecution, see First Details of Donald Trump Criminal Referrals Show the Abject Idiocy of the January 6th Committee and Confirmed: January 6th Committee Will Jump the Shark With Final Move Against Donald Trump. By “possible,” I mean, of course, Merrick Garland will seek indictments and, if possible, prosecute the charges.
Here is @RepRaskin making a criminal referral of President Trump for “defrauding the US” for trying to defeat Biden’s certification by “deceitful and honest means.”
